In late 2010, Bothell City Council approved plans for the enhancement and expansion of the regional Park at Bothell Landing. With the realignment of the intersection of SR 522 and SR 527 the City adds 3 acres to the existing 14.5 acre park. The enhanced park provides opportunities for residents, area employees and visitors to recreate, relax and enjoy the community's riverfront on the Sammamish River. Current features and future enhancements of the expanded park include:

  • A welcoming plaza with a water feature at the junction of SR 522 and SR 527
  • Amphitheater for concerts and gatherings
  • Bicycle and small boat rental venue
  • CafĂ©
  • Picnic areas
  • Hand carry boat launch
  • Playgrounds for small tots as well as older children
  • Teen adventure area
  • Nature play area
  • Walking trails
  • Wetland restoration and boardwalk with interpretive signage
  • Historical museum and preserved historic buildings
  • Meeting, wedding and event space in restored historic structures
  • Bridge crossing to the Sammamish River Trail, connecting to the Burke-Gilman Trail
